Daily work
On site, on the phone
Technicians use the same Glove on their phone. Signed in with the Technician role, they see Your visits: only the visits assigned to them, with no prices.
On a visit
Open a visit to see the address, time, customer and the site's access notes. Then:
- Record arrival when you get there. Glove records the phone's time.
- Checklist: tick each item done, or mark it N/A with a reason.
- Notes: anything about the job or access.
- Photos: taken with the camera and shrunk on the phone to at most 1600 px before they are sent.
- Materials used: from the price book, or described, with a quantity.
When the signal drops
Every item goes into the phone's outbox first and shows Waiting to send until Glove has it. With no signal the screen says, for example, Offline — 5 items waiting to send. They are kept on this phone and send when you reconnect; Send now sends them straight away once you are back online. An item that was already received is never recorded twice.
Keep using the same phone and browser until everything has sent: the items are stored in that browser.
Complete the visit
Complete visit needs a recorded arrival. Write what was done, then either the customer signs on the screen with their name, or you say why they could not sign. Leave This finishes the job ticked unless a return visit is needed. A job completes only when every required checklist item is done or marked not applicable with a reason.
The completed job is then ready for an invoice; see Invoices and exports.
