Team, roles and price book

On this page

More → Team holds your business details, price book, technicians and the people who use Glove. Only the owner changes these.

Business

Business name, ABN, the timezone visits are booked in, email, phone and invoice payment terms in days.

Price book

Each service has a code, a name, a unit, a price ex GST and whether GST applies. Its checklist is one item per line; start a line with * to make it required before a job can be completed. Quotes and invoices take their lines from here; materials can be services too (for example refrigerant per kg).

Technicians

A technician is the name shown on the dispatch board. Link each one to the person they sign in as, so their phone shows their visits. A technician moved in from ServiceM8 starts unlinked.

People and roles

Invite someone with their name, email and role. Each person holds exactly one role, and nobody can change their own. The installation's owner is always Owner.

Role Can
Owner Everything at the desk: business settings, price book, technicians, roles, move-in, approvals and invoices
Dispatcher Customers and sites, enquiries, quotes (draft, approve the price, record sent and the answer), jobs, booking and changing visits, reviewing conflicts and late evidence, deciding agent proposals
Office Customers and sites, enquiries, recording a quote as sent, preparing, approving, exporting and correcting invoices
Technician Their own visits: arrival, checklist, notes, photos, materials and completion; never prices
Agent Reads the desk's records and prepares enquiries, quote drafts, dispatch proposals and invoice drafts
Viewer Reads the desk's records

A role change applies to that person's very next action.
